JINN

Demons & Warlocks

______________________________________

Jinn is an `Arabic word meaning hidden and would be translated as demon in English. Many Muslims don't know that demons and jinn are the same. So, we have read many literature where they reffer to jinn are just "jinn" while they write in English. But, then again, they use the word Allah as well instead of God. Quran teaches that while man has been created from black mud, the demons are created from fire:

And the demons(Jinn) We created before from fire, intensely hot. [15.27]

And He created the demons(Jinn) from a flame from fire. [55.15]

We hope people don't get the idea that the demons look like fire or the flame of fire. You ask yourself, do you look like a black mud? Likewise, they look like as God wanted them to look like. From all over the world, people have encountered demons. To read more about some of these encounters and the historical and research links, please visit About's Demon Encounters.

"In their normal state, Jinn cannot be seen by humanity because they live in another dimension, where they get married, have children, and live their lives just as we do," says Dr. Bilal Phillips, a professor of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language at the American University in Dubai, UAE. "The good among them do not interfere in the affairs of humanity, but evil ones among them do mischief and other more harmful forms of evil. It is possible that they are even responsible for alien sightings."

What the professor says is true because from the Quran we learn that Jinn, like Insi or human, recieve communications from God;

O you demons(jinn) and humans, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My communications and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They shall say: "We bear witness against ourselves;" and this world's life deceived them, and they shall bear witness against their own souls that they were unbelievers. Surrat ul An`aam, 6:130

So, they do recieve communications from God. And the professor is also correct that they are in a different dimension;

O children of Adam, let not the Devil cause you to fall into affliction as he expelled your parents from the garden, pulling off from them both their clothing that he might show them their evil inclinations, he surely sees you, he as well as his tribe, from where you cannot see them; surely We have made the Devils to be the guardians of those who do not believe. Surrat ul A`raaf, 7:27.

But what do Jinn has to do with the Devil? Well, because when the Devil, Satan, fell from God's grace, because he would not prostrate before Adam, he became a demon. From that day forward, every time Adam procreates, so does the Devil. And, according to most of Muslims' investigation on them, the Demons do not die unless they are vanquished by a human when they interfere with our World. Imagine a world from the time of Adam where no one dies! Imagine the population! But, then again, when you are a demon, it obviously doesn't matter.

However, like Adam has no power over any of us his children, Satan has no power over his children. Because, after all, God says;

And I have not created the demons(jinn) and the humans except that they should worship Me. Surrat ul Dariyyat, 51:56

So God means well for every birth and each of us choose to worship God or otherwise, human or demon. This is because the LORD is Most Merciful. Blessed Be His Name!
